Aluminum and its alloys can be brazed using processes similar to other metals, but require specific fluxes, filler metals, and generally lower temperatures.

 

Certain high-strength wrought and casting alloys are not suitable for brazing due to alloying elements that inhibit proper wetting and form complex oxide films.
